Privacy Policy

Smarter Contractor (operated by Smarter Than Yesterday LLC, “we”) helps kitchen and bathroom remodeling contractors book consultations. This page explains what we collect on smartercontractor.ai, why, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain English on purpose.

What we collect

• What you give us. When you apply for a strategy call you tell us your name, company, email, mobile number, city and state, and your answers to a few questions about your business (the jobs you want, your consult volume, your revenue range, how you get leads today).
• What your browser sends. Like most sites, our hosting provider logs the pages you open, your IP address, browser type and the site that sent you. We may use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to understand how people use the site and to show our ads to people who visited. These tools use cookies.
• What you send by text or email. If you reply to a message from us, we keep the conversation.

How we use it

• To prepare for and hold your strategy call.
• To follow up about your application by email, and by text message if you asked us to.
• To run and improve the site and our ads.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We never sell your information.

Text messages

If you tick the box on our form, we may text you about your strategy call: reminders, follow-ups, and replies to your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Your consent to texts is not a condition of working with us, and we do not share text opt-in data with anyone for their own marketing.

Who sees it

We use a small number of providers to run the business, and they only handle your data for us: our CRM and messaging platform (GoHighLevel, including our AI assistant that answers texts), our hosting provider (Vercel), our video host (Wistia), our scheduling tool, and analytics and advertising tools (Google, Meta). We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your application and conversation history while we are in touch and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can pick up where we left off. Email us to have it deleted sooner.

Your choices

• Opt out of texts with STOP, and of emails with the unsubscribe link.
• Block or clear cookies in your browser. The site still works.
• Ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have specific rights under law; we honor requests from everyone the same way.

Children

The site is for business owners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top. Material changes get a note on the site.
